Message from Chairman of Business of Creative and Event Management Association (EMA)
Currently, domestic event business market is worth 14,000 million baht, which comprises of over 100 organizer companies both small and large sizes. Each company shall accept variable format of jobs, which event business is considered as an important part to support every industry as well as tourism business, MICE, culture, and many more, while the growth of Thai event business in foreign countries has potential to increase even more in the form of extensive event service including creative event creation, interactive software & hardware development, marketing strategy service as well as rental picture, light and sound system equipment.
However, Thailand has not had the venue to take up the full set musical performance, while art exhibition venues have not reached an international standard to exhibit the world class fine arts. Therefore, standard evaluation project categorized in special activity arrangement venue for 20 venues has recently been conducted in order to take up the arrangement of all entertainment activity as well as variety of activity arrangement by organization both domestically and internationally.
In addition, the target group from this project includes tourist attraction, public park, sports stadium, archaeological site, shopping mall, etc., which this project shall have 3 years term from 2019 to 2022 in order to stimulate entrepreneurs both government and private sectors who have capacity to initiate the investment in order to rapidly grow and elevate Thai MICE industry.
